Topic: Red Rocks Update- Parts Closed!

I was just up at Red Rocks yesterday and they have closed parts of the ampitheatre until April 2007 for upgrades. The parts that have been closed as of now are the entire stage, the area by the northern concession stand, and the area by the bathrooms down by the stage. Just thought Id let everybody know.

noooo! that sucks big time. oh well, at least there is still a lot to do there. plus if they are upgrading it all, thats gotta be good for us eh?

Actually....  It looks as if they are pulling out the rails on the stage and around the concessions areas and putting in smaller rails as in less space between. But besides that, it looks like it will be beneficial to us.

damn, that sucks. hopefully the stuff they put in offers new challenges and things to do.

Good news, they are not replacing the rails with rails that have smaller openings. It just looks like that because they took out the long rail with smaller openings that was right in front of the seating rows. It is now laying by the other rails so it looks as if they are replacing them but I doubt they actually are.

from what i can tell they're not even replacing the rails they just removed some of them so they could get the machine equipment through to the concession stand. i asked a couple of the construction workers but they were vague at best as to what the final project would look like.
