DH log
« on: October 23, 2006, 05:51:45 PM »
so i guess i'll start a log since i'm on the comp alot. so brief notes about me, originally a soccer player gone runner/swimmer, done a tri, and i started a tumbling class recently.  picked up parkour from the scion commercial and an article on district-b13 in newsweek as well as the trailer, started in august with my first jam with demon, sat, and kannagasai.  been practicing down at fortlewis by myself ever since.

so yesterday.

morning-
1 1/2 hour at spots around campus to practice pk

afternoon/night-
weight work focusing on shoulders, core, and chest

hey man, good to see you are still serious about parkour. i know it can be hard to keep at it when you are always by yourself! keep up the good work and good luck getting more people into it around there. i actually have a couple high school buddies who go to fort lewis and know of parkour and are naturals at acrobatics. their names are sam king and andy hogan if you want to look them up. sam was going to start parkour but i havent been in contact with him for a while. anyway, keep at it.

yesterday did the parkour class at the spot gym with demon, kangassagi?, Sat, and others, excellent workout.  spent today driving back down to durango, going to do 3x20 squats and 3x15 pushups right now.

i feel to revamp my progress i need to start setting goals again, so here's a preliminary list(no specific order yet):

-ariels
-backflips on grass/regular ground
-work on rolls
-work up to 25 rep pushup sets
-fuller control of handstands

it was focused towards chest: flys, lat rows, close grip pull ups, incline dumbbell press, flat bench dumb bell press, lat pull 2x10 for each.  today i went to tumbleing class, managed to do a roundoff-backtuck  :)
