What would you do in this environment?
« on: July 31, 2010, 08:41:46 AM »
This is my basement. I've been training down there since I started two years ago, and I'm running out of ideas of what to do with it. Ideas?

I would make a lache setup on the rafters.

Clean off the table for kongs.

Hang up paracord to hang the brooms for diverolls.

how about monkey bars? (lache set*) or you could build a couple paracubes for $200

use that matress for learning flips.   underbar the treadmill, shimmy on the I beams up top, human flags,  climb the poles, and take a cardboard box and run and slide across the floor in it   :)

Maybe I should specify: I've been down here for two years, I've done everything basic like climbing the poles and shimmying on the ledges and Ibeams.  I'm thinking more unconventional stuff.
Thanks so far guys.  ;D

... go outside?

It looks like you have a pillar outside that window, try flags on it. Climb up and down. Hang from whatever it is holding up. Pull out a window and drop inside/come out.

Lache to cat from the I-beam to the fireplace ledge...180 cat from one of those reddish poles to the other.

Those beams across the roof, have you swung from one to the other yet?

Go outside? Of course I've gone outside. I'm just looking for better ways to train in this particular area. Don't be a smartass.

Hmm, that's more like it, thanks man. :D

No, what I mean is that, in the second pic, left window, I saw a pillar/beam support. Find a way to temporarily move/partially move the window to combine more things. Mix outside and inside.

Ahhh, I see now. My bad.
Unfortunately, the backyard is a mess and I can't go there, so let's just think indoors.

Squat rack
Flat bench
Chin up bar
Hang rings from chin up bar
Can build some precision trainers
Pipe ones will also work as parallel bars

I actually do have a chinup bar, it's just behind the camera. I'm thinking that I'm going to have to do some building anyway, so good idea with the precision bars. Also I might need to add some monkey bars onto the ceiling, or some climbing rocks.
