Hmmm. Well it's just that when newer people come here and want to actually know what the real original parkour words are and what they mean etc, it gets a little confusing. Personally, I have a great deal of respect for this discipline and the founders. I contribute by training, working hard, having fun, and teaching others. Even after 2-3 years, I feel like I am just beginning to really understand parkour. How many people here have been training long enough to say that they truly understand the essence of our discipline (I don't claim to)? So, with that being said, without singling you out, if a bunch of people who have been training for only a short amount of time, begin making up new words whenever the fancy strikes them, I anticipate that bad things could happen. Maybe not. Maybe it will all just be jokes and laughter, or maybe, it will get to the point that the actual essence of parkour is warped and lost sight of. That has already happened a lot throughout the years. There have been changes. Some for the better, some for the worse, and some... who knows? I don't mean this in a stubborn, absolutist way. I can see myself even making up a term to use with my own training buddies and I think that is ok and normal. Posting it up on a forum I wouldn't do however, because it is not probably something that applies to the National community. And if more and more people started posting these things here, it will dilute the real content of this forum. Which is why I was just posting this reminder of what people told me before. I think most here will agree with me. I may be wrong.
Cheers.
