Swede in Hawaii
« on: July 02, 2010, 07:52:07 AM »
Yo, My name is Emil and I'll be in Hawaii for about 1,5 weeks starting from 3rd of july. I'll be in honolulu first half of the time, and maui the 2nd half. Would be sweet if I could find someone to train with and show me around some spots :)

I hope I posted this in the right place, feel free to move it if not:)

I'm always down for training. I've got a few good spots I use and a full gym at my house. Hit me up if you want to train. I'm available anytime on weekends, nights on weekdays, and this monday (5th) is a day off for me for the 4th of July weekend. Message on here, e-mail me or call me.

yeah me too...welcome to HIPK.  The two guys who responded are both on oahu (me as well).  Oahu is where the most active pk practitioners are, but the other islands have great people on them too...I'm sure gregg (lives on maui) can give you some ideas about what to do on maui.  HIPK is actually planning a trip to maui July 22-26.

call me while you're here and can set up training time 8087545800

Sweet :D I saw the thread about the maui trip, unfortunately I'll be in LA by then :/ I'll be adding your numbers, but with my cellphone payment plan calls from my cell to hawaii are pretty expensive. And the only times I can check these forums is when I get to a free wi-fi spot lol. Anyway, my number is 0762010139. It's a swedish phone so I don't know the cost of calling it, I think communicating here is the best option :)

Hey Emil. Welcome to Hawaii!
Most of my ideas are already in the "Visit Maui" thread. Too bad you couldn't be here for that.
Any idea where you'll be staying while you're on Maui? What dates will you be here?

Maui is fairly small-town and rural - a completely different feel than Honolulu. It's not built up enough for good parkour, but there are some really nice natural places to explore.

Finally found a free wi-fi spot :D

I'm in honolulu now, staying at Island colony hotel in waikiki. I'm up for some training tomorrow, preferably not too far away from waikiki... :P I suppose the best time to train is either in the morning or the evening when it's not as hot. I'm going to see pearl harbor in the morning, so some evening parkour would be sweet :)

I'll be on Maui between 8-15 July. Staying at Aina nalu. Parkour in rural environments are often more fun than urban :)

:D

I'll be free tomorrow (monday) and tuesday from maybe 3 or 4 pm and the rest of the day. The last day I'm here I won't have time for training though.
