Rest Day
Did some handstand work, and spent around 25 min on my kong to precisions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zz1pJ9MUjBA&feature=youtube_gdata

So, I spent the night at my friend's and had the greatest parkour session of my short career. He was a running a track, while I was doing pk at a high school. I practiced, wall-climbs, vaults, turn vaults and a little bit of rolling. I can now do a fairly good vault from a standing position at waist height.

For the kong to precision try Putting your feet more forward, and landing on it balls then go to a squat position.
And rise your hands forward to give balance

Yea, thanks I'm trying to work on those factors.

Well since yesterday wasn't much of a rest day, today was my rest day. I'm feeling a little sick (small headache, stuffy nose) which doesn't bode well for my football workouts tomorrow.

Football tryout today. Pretty easy just some sprints (2x200) and light jog x 400 yards. Also spent about 1 and a half working on stances (work the thighs some).

Very short video I made of a very short cat leap practice.

Football tryouts
1x200 yrd sprint
5x20 yrd sprints
1x40 yrd sprint

Very easy day, but just tiring enough to make me just rest and not want to do parkour the rest of the day >:(

Weight: 177.8
I've noticed I've been gaining weight in the last couple of days. This is probably cause I always let myself go in my diet and pig-out at least once a day. I really need to focus, get back on track, and stick to the diet, only letting myself have a reward every week or so!!! Be strong

Another really easy football workout. Just ran about 1/2 a mile long distance and did some ab work. Also, just for fun i did a wall climb on one of the brick posts. Will definitely get some weight lifting later.

Light workout, as I don't wanna be tired for tomorrow's hopefully intense workout. (We just got pads, so hitting)
Jog-1/2 mile
-Stair jump x 10 (1,2,3,assisted 4)
-10 min handstand practice
-5 min kip-up practice

For some reason, I haven't been able to do a kip-up since my first serious practice (kip-ups 1)

Pretty intense football tryout today, just about 1 mile of fast jog/slow sprint and about 2 hours of play practicing. Pretty sore from yesterday (I don't know why) but I basically just went to football then just chilled for the rest of the day. Might have a short ses tomorrow at Hampton but that is tbd.

Very sore from past two days. Since I've been concentrating on good running form (midfoot-heel) my calves are killing me today. Might have to bail on football for the open gym tomorrow. Also, I believe I might have had my first lucid dream last night. Either that or I dreamed that I was having a lucid dream. Kinda like Inception :o

Did about 30 min kip up practice today before football. Realized it's  much easier to shoot your legs out as opposed to up, which many tuts said to do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAez3CCz2bY&feature=youtube_gdata

Football was ok, lots of running and play work.

Ok, I had a football workout at 8 until 10. Did some running, waited around for an hour and a half, and did 6 Oklahoma's.
After that, I had open gym alone (Sean's on vacation). Practiced sideflips mainly, (ok with the punch, i can land them maybe a quarter the time, but too scared to try a split step) wall spins (my problem is not tucking enough because my legs always scratch against the wall, front flips (much better at them, can kinda land them from flat land to an elevated cushioned surface) and one backflip (tried jumping straight up on the kinda sturdy pads  but totally failed [jumped up, tucked, and totally land on my head {neck's gonna be uber sore tomorrow, kinda hurts right now} I don't really know what I did wrong, other than not jumping up enough] gonna take a rest with backflips)

Looking back on this, I really went wild on the parenthesi :P

R&R. Rest and relax today, body's really sore and I'm very tired.

So just did some light stretching, some handstand work (held one for about 7 sec) and just chilled today.

Last night I really let my self go with food (i.e. ice cream and lots of chips). I need to be stronger. Football tryout later.

Fairly easy football tryout, just minimal running (maybe half a mile overall) with some play and position work. Ate fairly healthy today, and managed to hold myself together. Some handstand practice too (10 min). I'm hoping on Wednesday morning I might be able to have a parkour ses at Hampton cause I haven't had a pk ses for 9 DAYS!!! :o

Weight: 175.2  :(

The coolest thing happened today. We had our freshman retreats today, and I went rock-climbing for about 2 hours. While I was there, a student and a teacher were joking around about being hardcore and parkour. Then the teacher said that he would totally like to start a parkour club at my school. Now I don't know if he was joking or not, but I need to ask him sometime if he would really want to start one. Me, Sean Nelan, and I'm sure others would join and we might just be able to start a parkour club!!! Also, I found out today that although I used to be very slow at rock climbing, I'm now uber fast thanks to parkour. Overall, a great day, although I didn't get any parkour in. Tomorrow morning I'm hoping to have a sess.

Gonna attempt to have a lucid dream tonight :-\

Well, today was a tough day :(. I had a good parkour workout (though I did really bad in it) and skipped a football tryout. For many various reasons (I didn't enjoy it, I was gaining weight instead of losing it, it really wasn't an optimal workout but just tiring enough to not make me want to do anything else, I was eating like an elephant because whenever I came home from football I just feasted on whatever was at hand, and not always healthy food, I didn't have any time for parkour, and when I had my sess today I did horrible as a result of not really working out or practicing parkour) I just bailed on football today. I know that balance is key, but why try to balance something with parkour when you don't enjoy it or gain anything from it? At least, if I don't make football, I can fully focus on parkour and tricking conditioning this fall and winter. In the spring, I will definitely play a sport as my parents really want me to make a team in my freshman year. Possibly rugby, although my brother plays it... :-\ :-\ :-\ :P

Conditioning sess later:
3 kilometers running up and down my driveway
x2,1,1 Dips
x2,2,1 Weighted Pullups (+20)
3x20 sec frog stand
about 5 min handstand work

Feeling a lot weaker cause of those 11 days of non-productive football workouts... >:(

3x10 sec front lever progression 2
3x5 sec straight arm frog stand

Wow, great day today. Had open gym in the morning, practiced front flips, precisions a little bit, palm spins, kip-ups, and switched from the punch sideflip to the two step. Landed most of my front flips, and landed 1 or 2 of my sideflips. Giving backflips a break. Went over to Sean's after, practiced kongs, precisions, palm spins, front handsprings (I'm really bad at these) and got more comfortable with my turn vault.
Later, we went to the pool and practiced kongs, gate vaults, (got yelled at cause people thought we were breaking in or something :P) and had awesome flip practice in the sandpit. I got a lot more comfortable with the two-step sideflip (landed 2, but fell back cause of balance), and got sooooo close to landing a front flip, but I always have to put my hands down to not fall back. Anyway, I'm happy with my progress today and once I master the front-flip and sideflip, maybe I'll be able to concentrate and nail that backflip.
Also, I figured out that I've been practicing parkour for 4 months, 2 days, as I figured out that I started on April 26, the day when I looked up how to be a ninja  :P
Tomorrow, I want to practice wall spins (on trees), front flips and sideflips (If i can summon up the courage), but basically try to limit myself to fairly light activity.

So today was kinda a bummer. I was all stoked about practicing my sideslips and fronts, but when I woke up this morning my knees were killing me! I couldn't even straighten out my left leg without lots of pain. I decided to do some stretching and keep it low-activity for the day. I might still go out and practice tree-spins, but that's probably going to be the extent of my activity for the day. :(
As there are no good trees for tree-spins (they're all around the 90 degree mark, and I want to start out around 60 or 70 and build up), I didn't really do any physical activity today. Tomorrow I'll probably keep it low-contact and maybe just do some upper-body work

173.6

Like I said yesterday, I'm just resting my legs and knees today. They're still a little sore and bruised, so I figured I should play it safe as I really would hate to get a long-term injury. I plan on conditioning my lower body lot more (i.e. pistols, squats, deadlifts, cleans) once my knees are fully better. Might have an upper-body conditioning workout later, around 8.

Great workout, also going bowling later (not sure if that counts as physical activity :P). Gonna change up the way I post my workouts, might be a little bit similar to Max's style.

Warm-up:
10 min assorted QM
Full stretching legs

Upper Body Workout:
Dips
bwx5
bwx2

10 sec x3

Pullups

20x2
10x3

Tucked L-sit
20 sec x2

Weight: 174.6 ???
So last night I also had a very intense game of ping-pong, which is almost like a full body workout for me..
Anyway, today I'm gonna probably keep it pretty low cause my knee is still sore when I try to run or jump. I'll probably just go to Hampton and do some movement. However tempting it is, I won't do any flips there! Also, cause of procrastination, I have to do lots of summer work today so might be limited in my time at Hampton.

Didn't get to go to Hampton cause school was in but I did go to a different park. I practiced being silent on my kongs on tables, a little bit of balance, precisions, 1 wall climb (my hand got really scraped up and started bleeding :(), laches, and jumping height (max is a tad bit below waist).

So really didn't do much today but I'm planning to go for a run later.

Knee is feeling a lot better so I did go for a short run, about 1.07 miles. Got about 8 and a half min, which I feel I could easily beat next run. Also did 6 HIIT sprints at 30 sec each after the run with 2 min of rest in between. HIIT is great for burning fat, but it totally wipes you out afterwards :(
