As part of my Natural Method craze
, I looked up Catoctin Mountain
and that place seems perfect for a day of natural method training
My plan is:
- get to the park at 8:30 AM (I'm leaving from Primal at 7:00 sharp, if anyone wants a ride)
- park at the parking lot by the lake (yes, there is a lake)
- walk to the falls (yes, there are falls too)
- hike the 8 mile loop
going up and down the mountain, climbing around on rocks, etc
- get back to the falls and then to the lake for a well deserved afternoon swim
Obviously, this is a day trip so pack yourself a lunch and enough water supplies. Don't forget your sunscreen either. The estimated length of the hike is about 5 hours, and even though we'll go faster while running, we'll also slow down to play on the rocks. And don't forget your bathing suit, towel, etc (which we can leave in cars), as we will chill out in the lake at the end of the day.
