Any Traceurs in the St Pete area?
« on: June 14, 2010, 04:38:14 PM »
Hey people what's up My name is Kaije (pronounced like "cage") and I'm new to the APK website. I saw that the Florida forum has some good activity So i was wonderin if there were any other Freerunners in the Saint Pete/Pinellas Park/Largo/Clearwater area?
I live on Gandy Blvd a couple miles east of the Park side mall but i can pretty much take the bus anywhere. I have a few friends I train with on occasion but I don't think they're as into is as I am and I'd love to find some new people to train and chill with!

well I know Daniel Arroyo lives in Tampa..

I have family that lives near there and I might get a chance to try some parkour since I'll be there on the weekend and hopefully on Saturday I'll get some time.

Yeah I know Danny is over in tampa, but I'm not sure if he's still out in LA or not. I wanna train at his gym as much as possible but its a 45 minute drive plus it costs money so at most I could make it once a week if I were lucky, I was hopin to find some people to train with on the regular :)

my best bet would be to go to the gym and try to find some people that live near you. Or unless you get really unlucky like me and you can't find anyone to do parkour with that lives within a reasonable distance.

Look up Chris Ell, Tom Copolla, and Sean Ehrlich (those are also their usernames on here). Tom and Sean have cars and are usually down to come down from tampa and train if the need be. Danny's great but he is by no means all we have going on in florida.

Rely on yourself. Rely on your body. Rely on your training, instincts, and heart. Everything else is a crutch.

Thanks Andrew ;D
Again I normally wouldn't like to bother people like this but my friends just don't really care that much and Im into training everyday. I wanna find some more people who like the art of movement as much as I do :)

I'll be back in Tampa this coming weekend.  We'll set something up soon.
