Don't get shoes with a thick sole. Padding is BAD for parkour. Don't buy anything with the name "air" in the title.

ohh, I didn't realize the Darts were Airs.
So what cheap pair of shoes should I get? cause right now all I have are skate shoes.

What's your reasoning for not liking thick soles?  I'm not saying you're wrong, just wondering.

All versions of Nike Darts seem to be very similar.  Many talented traceurs speak highly of them.  I've worn them in the past and felt they were more than adequate for Parkour.  My only gripe was the sole.  Not the thickness, but a weird indent in the bottom that made rail balance awkward for me after getting used to shoes with flat bottoms.  It actually seems like many shoes that are highly regarded in Parkour communities have thicker soles (Darts, Kalenji Success, Si-18s)

Sole thickness is based on opinion. I like minimul padding but that's me. Evan likes barefoot ido belive

Thick soles doesn't really matter if you know how to land. New guys with thick soles will land flat footed because of the cushioning and that can mess them up.

That. ^^

If you want to refine your technique, a pair of shoes with thinner soles [or no shoes at all] is optimal. Just be safe because thinner shoes are less forgiving, obviously. If your technique is tuned, thicker shoes are fine as long as you don't use them as a crutch or excuse to try unsafe things.

I got the Nike Darts 8. I don't know too much about shoes for parkour, but they seem to do the job.

I heard the Dart 5's were supposed to be the best when you factor in durability, grip, traction, comfortability, and all that other shit
