I'm probably going to get a captains of crush gripper soon and I was wondering which one I should get. I've never really done grip training before other than like pullups and rope pullups. From the looks of it its going to be either the sport or the trainer. Any suggestions? thx

I remember an article on Dragon Door where this guy that does rafter chins also drilled an eyebolt thru a softball or similar to do pullups from.  Always wanted to try both, but I'm still just working on the pullups and just got a rope that I can't climb yet.  Maybe next year.  Also you could hold hanging weight plates (or any weights for that matter) with a pair of pliers; increase the weight if you can hold more than x-seconds.  Also, you can just hang from a bar, try not to use your thumbs, just a fingertip hook grip.  If that gets easy try one hand.  Caution - easy to mess up your ligaments in your fingers with excesively increasing weights that you are not used to.
