School ending; Summer Rendezvous - Possible Jams?
« on: May 11, 2010, 09:04:23 AM »
Well, the time of school closing is again; very near. Though, some probably have summer jobs (or full-time employed) summer means some days off and relaxation (to a degree).
So let's really try to get a Jam going. Socializing is a good thing and many people are known to improve during and after a Jam. If not for the improvement, do it for the sake of fun.

I agree!
We need to get a bunch of us together!  I'd love to meet all of you, and you could all probably help me, and eachother, with our skills ^.^

So date/time/location ideas?

Going anywhere is going to be hard for me (as my parents aren't too fond of parkour :P) but I'll try my best to do something.  New Haven is good, I heard.

But we should try to get a gathering of a bunch of traceurs at Trumbull YMCA for a gym jam one Wednesday, the gym people pretty much allow anything for the 13+ kids, theyre awesome.  If anyone can come (and it could be anytime, even before the summer) I'd be happy to introduce you to the local traceurs (all 3 of them, lol).

I have a few friends from fairfield that are interested in trumbull open gyms.  We're just trying to work out rides and then you'll see us there =P

I'm close to Trumbull so, you can count me in! I also have a friend that would be more than happy to participate.

I'm sure it wouldn't affect anything...it's 8-9 LOL.  But it's kind of a pain in the *** the first time, because a guardian needs to come and sign waivers for like 5 minutes (unless you're 18 of course).

Here's the address if you're interested: 20 Trefoil Drive, Trumbull, CT 06611

I might be able to make it still, not too sure but I might.  My mommy and I had a fight... and then she flew off to chicago >.>
So I'll try to figure something out with my dad/grandparents.

My dad and I fight all the time. There really isn't a week that we don't get in an argument. I guess it became a way to express our caring for each other ^-^
But, then again. I have a odd family.

My family is odd too... but hey, isnt everyone's?

Yeah, our fight is just a lot of built up stress over the past few years, but I sent her a three page e-mail that smoothed things over a bit.  She was about to get on the plain when she read it and replied, so she's gonna call when her flight lands.  That's when I'll ask her again about tonight, and if not, then I'll be there sometime in the future; and I'm gonna try my hardest to knock off my licence the next month so I can have it for the end of school through summer.

Shay, when does your school let out?  Fairfield's done on the 24th.

I'm done with finals this Thursday. College is great ^_^
No, but it was a pretty harsh semester, so I'm glad to get a break. I have to find a job though.
If I don't my dad might kick me out of the house... Aaaaaand I really would prefer if that didn't happen.

One of my current tasks is finding a job.  I want to start up capoeria with my friends and that's $110 a month.  Plus it'll please my mommy and daddy.  The good news is that my grandpa knows practically every Italian speaking small family business owner in Fairfield county, so I'm pretty good on the networking front.  It seems that no one will hire you unless you know someone >.>  but then again, I'm just some bum street rat kid =P

Connections are always good. I'm looking to go to security training or work with Soundkeeper again. Though, I've handed out a good 28 resumes already.

Capoeira is epic. Always wanted to learn it.
