I Know There Are More People Out There
« on: May 10, 2010, 09:43:58 PM »
I've personally met several, talked to others, and actually jammed with a few. We all need to get more involved with getting together and having regular jams. I'm moving up to shreveport within the next 2-3 months, so i'll be ready to jam in ruston, shreveport, or wherever in the northwest area.

I'm originally from Lafayette. I've met up with Cody Gaudet already, and hes got some really good flow. I hate to leave Lafayette, but i feel that any new comers in the warea should definately talk to cody. He can easily get you guys (and gals) started off in the area. BTW cody, Me, Archai, and Erebus are all moving to Shreveport so you're going to be the only ones down there.

I met with john, but i dont think hes on here much anymore. He knew me as shado back then, but the names changed and its staying that way...so whats going on in the new orleans area? do we have any clubs, teams, crews, hell, even training buddies over there?

Then, the capitol seems a little empty really. ive personally tore baton rouge up several times. Its got amazing spots, if only people over there would learn how to use them.

I'm just trying to get us all organized. This state isn't that big to where we couldnt all figure out an annual jam somewhere or something like that. Just think how amazing that would be, if we could have 3 statewide jams a year. One up north (ruston or shreveport, idk which would be better...that would be Kyle's specialty), one in baton rouge, and one in new orleans...i know there are traceurs out there...they just need to find their voice on here so we can unify this state...

well, this is my rambling for the night...

I feel you man. I dunno. I represent my state, and I agree with you in that we need to get the state more involved. But because I created GorillaPK I spend most of my time in parkour and tricking directed at the National/International scene instead of the just the state and regional bits. I'm up for hosting a jam up here though. Would be awesome.

im hoping to get to the point you're at but right now, all i got is my state and the locals. know what i mean? but a jam, whether its just state wide, or nation wide, would be awesome. there is no southern jam. we have the midwest jam, the (b)east coast jam...what about the south?

Aw man you are moving....that sucks, I know Tobey was looking forward to learning a lot on the tricking side from you guys.  We'll hold down Lafayette, we had a few more people join the facebook group....either of you have any ideas to get people to actually show up instead of just saying that they like parkour and want to do it but never come....

Nothing you can do man. To train at all you have to love it. It's like people who play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and think it's awesome but don't go outside and try to skate. You just have to keep getting it out there and eventually people will come.
