Okay I have told my mom to hide the Oreos somewhere in the house.  I almost killed myself but I have gone 3 whole hours without them :D.

Hmm, let's see. 3 Oreos:

480 Calories
21g of fat
    6g of that is Saturated
May have up to 1.5g of Trans Fat, but may have none. No way of telling.
480mg Sodium
75g Carbs
3g Protein

So, based on a 2000 Calorie diet, 3 Oreos is about 1/4 of your entire daily food intake, with no other nutritional value whatsoever.
Of course 2000 Calorie diets are for sedentary adults, not teenagers. If you are young, and growing, and active, you will burn off those Calories pretty fast.
So really, they arn't the "best" thing you can eat, but as long as you arn't gaining weight, they really arn't all that bad.

That being said, getting out of the habit of eating Oreos regularly will help you later on, when your metabolism slows down. Because then, every Oreo you eat will add about 3 pounds of fat to your stomach. LOL

What people need to understand is there is a difference between eating a whole box of Oreos a day and eating two or three. Moderation. Moderation. Moderation. I do eat junk food. BUT, I eat maybe 5-10 Nilla wafers as my junk food. That's fine. Sure, it's calories, but I work them off and do not gain weight from 10 cookies. A whole box of Oreos? Keep me away from the scale.

How about those people who are 18 and can STILL eat whatever they want... And as much of it as they possibly can. And have NOTHING happen.

I wonder. Do I even need to eat? If I stopped eating, I'm pretty sure my weight would stay the same. I don't think I actually get my nourishment from food. It must be some other cosmic energy

You may not have any outwardly physical effects from eating junk

But it is literally raping your arteries, liver, etc. with inflammation and plaque to eat crappy processed foods.

QFT

I am one of those guys, who at 47, can still go to McDonald's, and order a double quarterpounder w/ cheese meal, and add a big mac, and eat it all. I'm 5'9, and weigh 150 lbs. My friends have no clue how I can eat that much. My blood pressure is normal. My blood sugar is normal. I havn't had to see a doctor since college, and I rarely ever even get a cold. And for many many years, my diet was pretty much only junk food.

BUT, I was also EXTREMELY frustrated when I tried to work out, and never got any results. Last December I decided to change my eating habits, and have noticed a difference in how I respond to exercise. Unlike some people who report, "I feel 100 times better now that I eat better", I don't feel any different at all. However, I know it's better for me, and I do know it's helping me improve myself, so I'm sticking with it.

(I do still occasionally go to McDonalds, though. No more than once every 3 weeks ish.)

AGREED. After the wrestling season, after eating ridiculously healthy and not very much fried food kills me. I won't even try McDonald's after that. My first meal with my dad's fried chicken gave me heart burn :(.
