Notes on the experience I attempted to dash vault over a soccer goal that is about 5 feet high, which i had placed on the edge of my deck that has a 7 foot drop over the rail. i planned on rolling out of it once i hit the ground, but my trailing foot didn't quite make it over the goal. It got caught, which flipped me over headfirst towards the ground. I extended my arm to take the brunt of the impact, and then hit the ground. i figure a days rest and ill be good.

Ok, I'm sorry to hear about your injury and i hope you heal up quickly so you can get back into parkour, but please, I strongly recommend going to see a doctor as an ankle sprain can cause serious problems as your ankle bears all of your weight, and accounting for the severity of the landing, which was landing on your hands from 7ft this can't be really good. If you don't see a doctor at least do something, don't walk on your ankle or support it with something but go and seek medical advice ASAP.

I have a similar injury to my knee (knee sprain) and like me be sure to give yourself alot of time to heal.

Good Luck and hope you get better.

You should definitely see a doctor, and I hope you get better soon.

If you've only been doing parkour for two weeks, I don't think you should be doing dash vaults over something five feet tall to a seven foot drop...

Your lucky you didn't REALLY get injured.

I had one of my cousins look at it, and she's an EMT. she said id probably be alright, but just rest and dont do big jumps like that again, just smaller ones. and yeah, i probably shouldn't have, but i was confident at the time that i can pull it off.

Even though you felt "confident" at the time your lack of experience  can cause you severe damage later on. I know someone who do this and almost became a vegtable , i dont mean to scare ya you just really need to think before you do. I would say don't drop any higher than how tall you are. and even that is a stretch! good luck!
