Hey  guys,
Keep an eye out right here for the specifics on this year's (B)East Coast jam. Right now, there are a few things set in stone:

UPDATE:

This will act as the Official Schedule of the (B)East Coast Jam, and the bulk of the information you need to know about coming to, sleeping at, and preparing for the most awesome jam of all time.

Schedule / Itinerary

Saturday – To accommodate for large numbers, we picked locations that can host everyone without having to split up.

10:00am – Meet at Rosslyn Metro Station in Arlington, VA. From there we will jam at and around Gateway Park

1:00pm – Break for lunch either in Rosslyn, or on the road

2:00pm – Meet at Meridian Hill Park in DC. There we can hang out, run drills, play games, and continue the jammage.

6:00pm – Everyone finds their own dinner somewhere between Meridian Hill Park and Primal Fitness DC.

8:30pm – 2nd Annual (B)East Coast Film Festival.

10:00pm – Downstairs jam in Primal Fitness / Retire to sleeping arrangements

Sunday

8:00am – Pilou will host a Method Naturelle training session for all interested

9:00am – Everyone else Leaves from Primal or wherever you are staying. Meet at Great Falls National Park for breakfast. PLEASE GET THERE EARLY OR YOU WILL WAIT IN LINE TO GET IN FOR HOURS. We will spend all day here, there is plenty to do!

12:00 – Cookout at Great Falls – Burgers and dogs!

7:30pm – Begin packing up and departing

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Last year saw over 100 people sleeping on the floor of Primal Fitness, it was hot, uncomfortable and had only one shower. So this year (expecting more people), we ask that you try to secure your own arrangements. Whether that is a hotel, hostel, or someone’s house, we cannot take on the responsibility of finding a place for 200 people to stay. I hope you understand.

But here’s what we can do. We can give you some pointers on booking your hotel if you want to go that route.

We recommend using a travel website like www.kayak.com to find the cheapest hotels in the area. There you can put in the city and date, then find one you like based on the price. Please check the hotel’s website or give them a call to find out how close they are to a metro station. This is very important because it will allow you to be mobile during the jam (at least the first day while we are in DC). If you have a car, you don’t have to worry about it, just find a place that’s not too far away from all the action.

Another option is finding a hostel. There aren’t many around, but the closest one to Primal Fitness (walking distance) is The International House of United Tel (unitedt.com) Mention you are staying there for an event at Primal Fitness and you might get some special treatment.. not sure what yet, but the guy likes us.

Primal Fitness will cap the number of people who can stay the night(s) at 25 people. The option is not yet available to reserve, so please try to find another place to stay first, then we will open it up to people who cannot afford a hotel or cannot find someone to house them. An announcement will be made shortly about that.

If I don't get enough money from the American Rendezvous then I might come to this.
If I can't speed vault it I can monkey vault it.
If I can't monkey vault it I can kong it.
If I can't kong it I can kash it.
If I can't kash it I can climb it.
If I can't climb it there's another way around it.

It'll be in Washington DC.  Last year Primal Fitness housed a lot of the (B)East Coast attendees, so hopefully it's the same again this year.  And bring money for food, drinks, and for any miscellaneous expenses.
But (B)East Coast is a national event, so there will likely be people from all across the country coming (including NC).

Was supposed to be at American Rendezvous, but unfortunately that won't be happening. Fortunately I will be coming to (B)East Coast as usually and will be bringing a bunch of other Team Sanjuu guys as well. Also, Skipper, I got a docu-film for you, I'll send it your way as soon as it's done...which, won't be until right before the jam.
"Our goal isn't for it to be spectacular, to show off, or to gain respect. We merely do this for self gain and to help each other grow mentally and physically, to break our limits, and to be able to flow; just as the water does."

Hey guys, Glad to hear you all are going to make it out! Syn, keep your eye on the homepage for Video instructions. People are going to have to confirm with me first that they are submitting a video, what type of video, how many videos, etc. ahead of time, and then it will run like a real film festival with a winner and prize. Not sure of the schematics yet, but it will be run much smoother this year! I'm excited as hell!

Either way guys, we're working out a way to get everyone a place to stay. Right now, primal fitness will house roughly 30 people. there were way too many people in the gym last year and it was uncomfortable for most. In turn, I will find out from the locals here how many people can offer housing, and then get as many hostels on board with putting people up for about $30-40. Hopefully that will take care of most people, but last year we had 160 people, and this year might be bigger.
More information to come soon, For now, KEEP AN EYE ON THE FRONT PAGE, THERE WILL BE INFORMATION THIS MONDAY UP THERE ON THE JAM.

Thanks!!

Hey everyone,

This is my first real parkour jam although I have been training for three years around my town (Randolph, NJ). I was supposed to go last year, but sprained my ankle a couple weeks before it (ouch). I am extremely excited and will be bringing two or three friends who I introduced to parkour this past year! As always, after finishing my first year of college, money is an issue, so it would be awesome if someone would be willing to house four people (or we would be willing to stay in the gym/camp somewhere too). We are responsible people and can help clean or do something to earn our keep.

Thanks and I look forward to meeting everyone and becoming a more active member in the community!

I will also be submitting a short video for the festival :). It will be a fun, creative short commenting on my view of parkour.

There was a post on the homepage about the film festival going over all deadlines and instructions. If you have a film, please look at the post on the homepage, I need to know by tomorrow if you are submitting it!
