NCPK National Jam?
« on: April 08, 2010, 08:55:24 AM »
Sup ladies? I just wanted to know if North Carolina held a national jam, if any of you fine young lads and ladies would have the pleasure of coming down South? We have a reasonably active scene here and turnouts at state jams have always been great in quantity. I'm still talking with some of the other community leaders but if this happens, it would be around the greater Triangle which would provide spots around Chapel Hill and Raleigh. We just need to know how many people are interested and if our community is ready for something so grand. By grand, I mean nerf battles, food, cookies, open gym, wearing fuzzy hats, and dancing. Are there any preferred dates in 2011? We'd like for it to be before the end of the world. Naturally and respectively, we wouldn't host anything close to or on the other national jam dates.

Heck yes I would go to that!
I want to go back there actually jump around instead of just sitting on my lazy bum like last time.
They call me SPYDER.

Safety, Progression, Repetition, Natural Movement.

Why don't you guys just plan for another state-wide jam, but extend an invitation to the national community.  Talk to various community leaders around the country and encourage them to come with their local communities.  The big national jams are big because of the media they generate and also because they tend to be held in big cities/tourist locations.  Beast Coast in DC, COPK, New York, etc.

You guys have a huge regional community.  Even if you advertise for a National jam, NCPK will still show up regardless of if others don't.  Having said that, I would love to go to a jam in North Carolina, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be living in the U.S. in 2011.  Good luck though!
