It actually might work as crash diet because for one simple reason eating a weird diet schedule like that you will likely be unable to eat as many calories as normal which will lead to weight loss, the damage to metabolic function, LBM, and Micro-nutrient profiles could easily cause a rebound that would leave you worse of the before and would be unhealthy at any rate.
Just count your calories, set a deficit eat real whole foods(meat, vegetables(yams but not potatoes), dairy depending on tolerance, fruit, nuts, seeds and grains sparingly), and be patient and understand you will fail to live up to your diet now and then but if you just keep at it it will pay off.
