SEARCH BEFORE YOU POST A NEW TOPIC PLEASE!

Parkour has been around for quite a while now.  APK has been around for quite a while now.  There are over 75,000 members here.  Chances are the questions you have have already been asked before, and answered before! 

Please use the "Search" box in the upper right from the main forum and see if theres already a relevant topic posted.  Look for answers there, and if your specific question still isn't answered you can post an updated question in that existing thread. 

Things like "Help on rolls" and "Parkour research paper" and "Advice on shoes?" and "How do I get started?" and "Building an obstacle" and many more topics already have a lot of answers posted, and for yourself and others its a lot easier to search through a single thread with all the answers from all the members than tons of separate threads with just a few posts each.

Do a SEARCH before you post a New Topic please!  ;D  8)


Addendum by Andy: The search box will only yield results that are farther in the forum from your current location.

Example: If you are viewing the General Discussion board and you type "New York" in the search box, only results matching "New York" that are found WITHIN General Discussion will given. Therefore, in order to search the entire forum, you must either go to the forum home page and then use the search box OR click the search function button near the "Home," "Help," "Profile," etc toolbar. Searching from that search page will yield results from the entire forum.

How do you feel if we create a new topic that has been touched on, but never addressed head on? Like say using the word trace was argued about in a topic about cars. Are we allowed to create something then?

Lol no, semi-unique topics are fine, it's just the ones like "How should I get started??" that get annoying and take up space.

Another tip:

Your thread's Subject/Title should give some indication of what the thread is about.


The thread title "I have a question" is not as useful as "I have a question about dash vaults".  You will get more views, and thus potentially more replies, if your thread title is more specific.  It will also help with search and overall content quality.

i've been on here a lot for the past year, and this is my first time seeing this post.
