Rest Days

How often should a rest day be? I've been wondering this because I'm the type of guy who will work out every day, even if I'm sore. Like right now, I'm really sore from the gym last night, but yet I want to go out and practice some parkour. Should I go and practice or should I take today easy?

Meh, I usually don't go more than 3 days straight. Though that's just me and what I know about my body. It's not based on any real proof *shrugs*

1 out of every 2 days should be a rest day. Letting your muscles recover is an important part of strength training.
