I need a Place to Parkour in the Gwinnett area!
« on: March 01, 2010, 05:01:19 AM »
I'm 15 and have been doing parkour/freerunning for about a year, but the people I do it with and I are getting really bored of running in the same area. Does anyone have some good places around the Gwinnett (or preferably Suwanee) area with good obstacles and a wide area to practice? We have been mostly doing it at Suwanee Town Center Park lately. Thanks!

There's another Traceur at North Gwinnett? Me and my brother can't find any good places to train.

I tried to jam at the high school but one of the administrators asked us to leave.Grrrrr.

I normally train at west bank park because some of the rails are sunk in the sand so I have somewhat of a cushioned landing when I'm learning something new. Plus no one has asked me to leave yet. I can't find anyplace to work on wall runs though.

haven't been able to train much though with school.

I'm between Medowcreek and Berkmar Highschools, and go to Berkmar. Maybe we could have a Gwinnett Jam to get to know each other!!! The downtown areas are always decent. Downtown Norcross has some nice walls, roofs, and rails if anyones interested...

Hey just thought I'd let you guys know I'm in the Suwanee- Lawrenceville Area for the summer, well most of it. If anybody ever wants to train at Collins Hill Park lemme know. There's a few nice spots there. I have a spot that's great for webster/ side flip cork practice. There are plenty of railings/vaultable object, and a tree branch that almost perfect for solo bar work. Across the street from the park is the school whih has mats, a track area that's great for tumbling or other flatland stuff, some railing with different size drops, and there a couple other good fun things to do. I normally train with a couple friends ever few days. Let me know if anyone wants to train.

I saw that someone asked what "you"(I) have down so I'll do a short list

Front Tuck
Front Pike
Barani
Webster
Side Tuck
Back Tuck
Arabian
Back Full
Gainer
Cork
B-Twist
Flyaway
Leaf's
Inward Front form Bar

If it means anything I'm professionally sponsored, by the way I'm 18 =)

Yeah man, I live in Suwanne but I usually practice in the Suwanee town Center or Gary Pirkle Park. There are about 4 parks around here good for practicing but I'll try to head over to C-Hill. I have NO experience tricking but I would love to learn, do you(cody) go to any of the open gym sessions at SEGA?

Just moved to the area from NY/NJ and live in the Duluth/Lawrenceville area. Still kinda new to parkour but I know that learning best with groups! I'm new to the area too, what parks do you all recommend?
