Labor Day Jam Oh-Ten
« on: February 12, 2010, 09:12:25 PM »
I know , I know, " It's only february" you're saying.  But It's never too early to get a jam into the planning stages. Especially after we had a bit of trouble with getting people interested last year. Also if we get things planned out early we can invite some of our freinds from out of state to come enjoy the jam with us.
I know some Dayton people had wanted to host but things fell through last time, so maybe if they want to host this year maybe they can get everything smoothed out.
If not there are dozens of other cities in Ohio that could host, and would do just as well. The only problem is PKHZ left a tough act to follow after the amount of organization and the lovely locations, not to mention the great turn out of locals and more than a few out of staters.

Labor Day weekend is also my B-day.
I would be willing to host the jam in Toledo, Oh. if anyone is interested. We have some great spots too!

Ok so we've got one bid by Toledo. Let's try to get some interest/discussion going and have a final host city decided on by June 15. This will give  people time to arrange for transportation and time off from work.
If noone else wants to host I'm all for having it in Toledo, the last time we were there it was a blast playing around down by the riverfront.

I'm up for wherever.  I will also probably be able to pick some people up.

There is a good chance that Parkour Generations (probably 2-3 instructors) will be back in Columbus for Labor Day weekend... Not exactly sure on the quantity of instructors available, so spaces may be limited to something like 40-60 people. Training will probably cost something like $15-$20 for the day (and money will go to help cover the costs of flying the instructors over here). Are people cool with doing that for the Labor Day jam?

Well I'll be posting once we get some details hammered out. It probably wouldn't be much of a "jam", but more just a few outdoor classes. Right now, I'm thinking it might be a couple instructors running a couple classes a day for a couple days.

Hey, so  this page hasn't been updated in quite some time and I figured some poeple might be wondering what is going on, so here is the URL to PKHZ's event page and all the pertinant information. http://parkourhorizons.org/?page_id=334

Additionally could someone from PKHZ shed some light on where the two "outdoor" training sessions will take place? I see that monday will take place at Batelle park, but everything else is vague.

Updated! It was originally intentionally delay, but I took a while to get around to updating it. Sorry for the delay!
