So it's been about 10 days of my paleo diet. This means no bread, grains, and very limited dairy. It's hard finding alternatives to eat when i'm out somewhere with friends. There is always the option of a salad, but this never fills me up... I guess going completely strict paleo isn't fit for the social animal. :) i'll manage though.

Last night, after hours of trying to prepare (what I thought was going to be) a delicious meal, it tasted like bran mixed with dirt. I was so frustrated with my cooking, I broke and ate a bagel...  :-X

I also didn't have anything in my apartment to eat besides that, and the gelatinous goo I created.

Odd recognition: This may be a coincidence, but up at Saginaw my roommate and I noticed that our stomachs kind of bulged outward. We both had abs when we flexed and not much fat, but for some reason, it just naturally stuck out. Lately i've been doing a little reading on gluten and how it can affect people who are allergic to it. I also read that it can inflame your GI trac, which i'm thinking may be the bulging effect. I noticed this because while on the paleo diet, my stomach was flat all of the time. Once I ate the bagel, it bulged up and stayed like that till today. I'll have to do more research into it, but it is an interesting thought.

The day before yesterday (My birthday!) I rode my bike around my city and did parkour for about two hours. another hours was spend riding around. I will do this tomorrow also, since i'm now healed. Tomorrow morning I will also be running to work to help with my cardio a bit more.

Paleo diet: As an update for this, I took a break from it for my birthday. I still went by my rules of no HFCS and limited bread/grains. but other than that... I consumed literally everything I was able to.

Tonight I made a pretty delicious meal. It was spagetti, sliced cantaloupe, and brussel sprouts w/ cheese sauce. Instead of pasta though, I baked up some spagetti squash... it turned out well actually. it has a very similar consistency to pasta noodles.

After work I went to a couple of my favorite places, but there were either a lot of families or event's going on that I didn't want to get in the way of. So I went to a couple parks with trees and wooden truss railing. I alos used some benches to work on vaults a little more.

While I was doing speed vaults, I decided to switch sides up. I have never thought of this before, but my right side (right hand on the obstacle) is much more fluid and efficient than the left... I guess you learn new things about yourself everyday.

Tomorrow I will run to work, if my hammys aren't too sore. Then more pk afterwards! :)
