well, you'll have to be more specific. You really cant just ask for pointers in general, thats really broad. Any specific vaults or the like that you have in mind?

i cant get the vault where you kick up your legs and push over the obstacle, i always end up in a lazy vault because i cant get the right idea of not hitting my legs over the thing i am vaulting in enough time.

I don't know what vault you are talking about still.

Dash maybe??

Got to know exactly what move before any one can help.
Konging low stuff is stupid. Just jump over it. Or just do a cool flip over it.

Sorry, I just re read......

I think he is mainly working on reverse.

If this is true..

It is a pretty easy one to progress and get down.

First find a waist high hand rail. You can do this one with zero momentum at first.

Next stand in front of the hand rail about a foot away. Grab the rail with your left hand palm up and directly in front of your right shoulder. Basically your arm will cross your body. (This is if you are right handed and feel with this direction of spin.)

Now reach your right hand over your left and grab the bar with your palm facing away from you.

From here you are "loaded" now all you have to do is keep your upper body strong and let it assist you as you jump over the bar.

You will land on the other side facing the opposite direction of where you started.

This is technically a turn vault but when you add momentum you will make a few natural hand and body adjustments and if done right actually turn 360 instead of 180 it will be a reverse vault. just take it slow and add momentum gradually it is important that you are in control or you will always look sloppy.

If you are doing a lazy vault when you are trying reverse vaults you are not "loading" your hands. This becomes unnecessary once you get it down and you can put them side by side or what ever is natural but in the beginning it helps tell the rest of your body what to do.

you can find a ton of video tutorials on this and other vaults also and they will probably help you more than the written explanation.

Good luck. Train hard and safe.  :)

In my experience with dash vaults, I started with a picnic table.  There's a few really good tutorials on youtube, Ozzi's comes to mind.

Watch the first step though.  If you come in to it too fast, you might over bend your knee.  It will hurt if you do that too many times.  Nothing detrimental, just a little pain that goes away with a few days rest.

An easier method for a reverse vault would be to rotate over the opposite hand that you would normally do for a turn vault.  If you feel like you're going over the obstacle backwards, you're doing it right.  Just watch your rotational momentum, or you might lose your footing on the landing.  Control that with different arm and leg positions when you're mid-vault.

Dashes can tend to put allot of impact on your arms especially when you're first learning so make sure you have good arm strength. And don't hit your ass it really hurts!!!
