I was wondering if a cat purring is as possible wake up/interferer in sleep. Unrelated, but a link to training cats to stay off my upper body would be nice.

Actually background noise can help you fall asleep faster and sleep more soundly.

Plus it's always nice to have a kitty companion. :3

There are times when you want to break down and rage at the heavens. Don't. Stay calm, and let the emotions flood in, accept them and then rise above them. Never dwell. Don't fear or worry. Anything worth thinking about is worth talking about. And... Good luck.

When I had a cat, his name was Elvis, he use to sleep right on my pillow and purr all night. It made me fall asleep faster and it was a comfort thing too. Now since I don't have Elvis anymore, he ran away when we moved, I listening to calming music or have a movie playing in the background to fall asleep. Its nice have noise, music mostly, help you fall asleep.

Also, this super-duper reliable site (:-Sarcasm) says that kitty purring can increase bone density.

Cat purring can help you burn fat at night and helps with muscle confusion and spot reduction.

They also can be used as drugs. Have you been cheesing? http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/80605864/

You probably know if they're interfering with your sleep better than any of us would. If you're feeling fatigued in the morning, try going to bed earlier. If that doesn't help, you might want to try not having cats in your room.
