Last Sunday I slipped while jumping for a bar, landed on a mat, luckily, and strained my neck enough to prevent me from doing rolls for most of this week. Then, just as that was healing, I twisted my hip on Thursday and I'm pretty sure I just broke a finger/hand when it caught in a groove on the crate I was vaulting over. I also have a screwed up ankle from an event in November that I hurt about twice a week. I know that parkour isn't the safest lifestyle out there, but this seems a little much. I've been practicing for a few months, but I've only recently been doing it regularly (~1 to 2 hours/day, depending on how busy I am) and it seems like I'm always telling myself, "No, I can't do ____ right now because of my _____". Is this just a phase or something? I'm hoping that once I get more comfortable with this kind of movement this will stop. Do most people go through this, or am I doing something wrong? Someone here might tell me to back off, but if I don't ever do thing I'm not used to, I'll never get better. Whenever I get hurt, its usually something I've done a hundred times. I follow the advice here and other places (i.e. I'm not hurt from "taking drops"). What should I do?
