i started running for the first time in my life about 13 months ago. soon after, i started searching for exercises that would allow me to "walk" with my arms and put my upper body under the same stress as my lower body when running. i stumbled across parkour and with a little more research, i learned about qm. the other stuff about parkour is interesting, but qm is really the strongest reason that i'm here
my long term goal is to quadrupedally run 5 - 10 kilometers. quadrupedally, i can't even walk that distance and i don't have the strength to run at all. so i've got some work ahead of me.
short term goals. build up my endurance and walk farther. build my strength to walk faster and eventually build up to running. track the number of days it takes me to cumulatively reach 1 kilometer and do it faster. learn to look forward more than down. don't let my form deteriorate once i begin to fatigue
*i count once every four steps and every step is about a foot. so 1 km is about 3280 feet and a count of 820
yesterday
qm - [warm-up; 6, 7], 7 sets of 13 cumulative - 104/820
today
qm - [warm-up; 6, 7, 13] 2 sets of 26, one 39 cumulative - 221/820
broke my old record of 30 today. so i'm raising the standard after my warm-up from 13 to 26. hopefully, in a week or two, i can try for several sets of 39
