Building the Parcube! Got what I needed.
« on: January 01, 2010, 07:26:19 PM »
So I got all my wood today. I'M SO HAPPY!!!

But I have a question In the first step were you trace the 2x4 onto the plywood, wichside goes down?

Do you trace 2 inches from the side, or do you trace the 4?

Also, i want to get back into skateboarding. I realised that this parcube will also dubble as a manule box. Talk about an all around traing device!

do you mean which side will end up being the bottom of the parcube?

parcubes are designed so that you can change which side is the bottom to change how you can use it. so there is no one correct side
It's not about showing off. It's about movement and passion and freedom. It's about giving yourself the ability to reach farther and higher, to go anywhere you please. It's about living without boundaries.

I know that. I'm asking about the first step in building it! after the suplies section.

I'm asking this question.  In the first part of the plans do you take the 2x4 stud and take a pencile to trace were it will go on the ply-wood do you put the 2inch side down, or the 4 inch side. i'll copy nd paste to show what i mean.

"First we'll attach 2 8 foot 2X4's to the edges of a full sheet of plywood.
To do this, use a piece of 2X4 to mark a pencil line along the edge of the plywood. This will act as a "screw guide" so that you can see where the 2X4 is when you flip the board over. Use the 1 1/2" screws, about 1 every 6".

Alright, i figured it out. I enlarged one of the pics and enhanced it.

Anyway, I'm going to make a vid tutorial as I build it because written instructions are sometimes hard to read, and the pics they have up are kinda small to see.
