apk should sponsor a fund raiser to get it. maybe we could all raise enough money? its a long shot but imagine if it actually worked.

yea if there was a fundraiser in every state, im sure we would easily get 3 million dollars, if not we can all pitch in some AND the fundraiser that way we totally have enough.

how big is that "underground city"?
I know you guys like the idea of underground, but with those 2.3 (EDIT: 2.8M sorry) million bucks you can build at least 3 parkour parks with all obstacles. In various location of the country. :P talk about efficiency, eh?

These things actually go on sale fairly often. I've seen them as low as 800,000.

Good point. we could build probably about 4 or 5 parkour parks in different areas for the same cost.

Seriously, How much does it cost to place a few pipes and walls next to each other? If someone with a business degree or something reads this, can you please calculate the average cost of a decent parkour training park?

I have no business backround, but i could probably make a reasonable estimate.. as could anyone..
Well how big is the area? Like an acre? or what?

I was thinking more of an outside gym, without all the mats and stuff. So 1/2 acre would be good enough. Add like an L wall 10 feet high, 3 pull up bars, various railings with different heights. shorts walls or vault boxes.
I personally never trained with many versetile objects, so anyone else would know best :P

DOUBLE POST! LOLOLOL

Okay, so I found some pretty sweet concepts for a PK park that are already out there (some of you might have seen them before):

http://urbanfreeflow.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/parkour_park.jpg

Here's one that seems to already exist, and looks like it's built with minimal cost:
http://www.sib.kk.dk/Faelles/aviser/avis68/ny%20parkour%20park%20i%20danmark.jpg

I would go with the last one.

AND TO CLEAR THINGS UP, Parkour in the normal city cannot be replaced with some park. A park would act as a first step and for training.
