ok so there are 3 conscutive bars, spaced roughly 3-4 feet apart from each other, side by side, i try to jump over the first one, monkey vault the second, and push off far enough to get over the final bar, i have tried more speed for momentum, ive tried tucking as tight as i can, ive tried pushing off as hard as i can, no matter what i do i always bust both my knee caps on the last bar, its somewhat of my white whale, if you will. is there a certain thing i need to do get enough height to not hurt myself every time?

Nah, dude, based on physics, you can't really do that.

So you're trying to kong more than 3-4 feet with less than 3-4 feet of run-up room? Good luck. It's possible, but it'll take some work, especially if you keep busting your kneecaps every time you try.

So you've busted your knees on it multiple times and you haven't thought to practice your monkey somewhere else first? lol If anything try for a crane onto the bar. Even if its not very high it's still good kong to crane practice. Then work on kong to precision when you've got the kong to crane down well, and then if you can precision it then you can attempt to jump over the last one.

I'd say keep going the way you are Busting your kneecaps is just more incentive to do it right next time, as long as you aren't hurting yourself too badly. You may want to try practicing somewhere else too until you know you can get the height and distance required. That could be helpful.

Sounds like you're using the right vault in the wrong situation. Experiment with something else, because it doesn't sound like a monkey vault to cover the second through third rail is likely to work. Possible, sure, but unlikely-- and clearly painful. What about a 360, lazy, monkey? Or alternating lazy vaults? Or better yet, go into an underbar on the third one.

I think just a plain side vault might get you the distance.. because you can turn your body a little sideways kick out your legs and push off with your arms. Ya might land backwards or sideways.. but ya might be able to get over it

Keep your inertial charge high and maintain your momentum into your kong. I suspect your have improper vault approach and actually breakoff a lot of speed right before executing your vault. I'm sure there are plenty of tutorials that can do a far better job of explaining this than me lol. Perhaps a quick read couldn't hurt?
