Squats/Pistols problems

Pistols-When i do my pistols i can go down till my heel and my but touch but i cannot keep my foot completely flat on the ground, i think i need to lean back more but i do not have the balance, do you guys know any exercises to work on this

Squats (With bar and weight)-  when i do my squats, i have the same problem with pistols, i go up to much on my toes and need to work on it and i was wondering if anyone had a good tutorial for proper form on squats

I'd think it's flexibility issues...

As is, stop doing squats with weight and even pistols till you get a good Air squat down. Work on that first and foremost.

Keep doing them, minus the weights, and the balance will eventually follow.
