Hey guys,

Recently I started playing around with the idea of them, since they looked challenging. And in fact, they are. Right now I'm trying to jump simply from one line to another line, about a 5 foot jump.

And well, the 360 part is what really gets me. It totally ruins my direction towards the second line and the amount of power I put into the jump.

So how do I go about conquering these beastly things? Any tips, or tricks to get them down?

I've been training these as well... not for rails specifically, but I hope to get there eventually.  The first thing that I wanted to get down was the issue of going a little to left every time I jumped, cause when I twist in the air it used to rotates my body so much that I ended up going diagonal instead of straight forward.  I eventually corrected this issue by just playing with how much twist comes from my upper body and lower body.  That eventually got me going straight forward and landing where I wanted too.  7ft is currently my comfort zone going from one object to another...I have yet to try it out on the concrete, but I've been doing them successfully in the gym on foam blocks.

My main issue right now is a mental one, cause as you know you can't spot your landing until you're right on the thing you're jumping to.  still working on that, where are you in your progression right now?  Lets compare notes Grin

Well, I played around with it a bit more today and realized that I need to bring my knees to my chest just like in a normal precision. It's hard to do while spinning around in the air Tongue

Bringing in those knees help with the rotation and distance. I still can't aim properly though or give the required forced to land on the second line. I'm always short by about a foot.

If your traveling left or right during your spin it might be because you are spinning off the ground. If you start to twist before your jump you will travel diagonally. So if your twisting right you will probably travel left, and if you twist left you will probably travel right. If you wait to leave the ground before you twist it may help you travel in a straight line

360 precisions are not that hard. Wink Just takes time to get used to it.Personally i'm very close to 8ft 360s and hopefully will get it in a month or so.
