Dog-kour!!!
« on: November 19, 2009, 08:42:35 PM »
After seeing ozzi's vid I was motivated to start training my dog tanner. He is a collie and I read somewhere that they were bred for climbing. I was thinking is anyone else gonna train their dog because it would be awesome if we could have the first ever Human/Dog parkour jam!!!

I've been training my Shiba Inu since he was 5 months old.  Of course we haven't tackled the big jumps until his bones fully develop.  I was going to do some agility lessons for him but I'm working on his food aggression before agility.  I kinda wish he wasn't neutered.  I wonder what his full potential would have been.

We have basic commands: up, over, crawl, and ledge.

A jam with a lot of dogs wouldn't be that great.  I would be afraid of hurting one or vaulting in some poo.  Most dog's recall isn't that great as well and would be total chaos with 10 or so dogs imho.

My dog had cancer, too. Lymphoma.

Back on topic, my dog is also pretty stupid. It'd be awesome if I could teach him parkour, but unfortunately I can barely teach him to lay down. And it's not for lack of training skills, haha.

Is my dog the only one that is fat and lazy? >.<
