Better, learn to take a joke, it wasn't meant to be serious.

I understand it was a joke, it's just... awkward since there are those of us who find these remarks... distasteful at the least  :P

Okay, I think this thread is done...

If you have something extremely constructive to add, go ahead. If you are just going to argue over the same shenanigans that are already here, please refrain.

Thanks.

First of all, I am not sexist in the least.

I have not "stereotyped" women. I am simply pointing out there is a difference between men and women's bodies.

Men naturally have more muscle and less fat content. Women are naturally more flexible in the pelvic area (for child bearing) and have more fat content. James says that "which is obviously an extension of the stereotype of women being “weaker” then men".

James, I am not stereotyping, but rather stating a fact.

Women can get into shape with light strength training, but once they get into heavy strength training and losing the natural extra fat content (and breasts) they start looking like men, which isn't appealing in the least.

As for my sources for this information? Please do your own research as I have.

Thanks and have a great day everyone.  :)

Sorry Andy, just want to reply to one thing in this post.

Women can do heavy strength training and not become a pile of muscle, my cousin who is 18 bench presses about 135 and is slim as a toothpick... just throwing that out there *crawls back to General Fitness Forum*

FINALLY! Thank you Grayson! if I had known such misinformation was in this thread I'd have thrashed it a while ago.

First of, being 'beefy' is not easily attainable like how you described it.

How I think you're referring to it.

That is NOT possible, or at least not likely enough to happen more then once or twice in a couple billion without STEROIDS, a diet predisposed to hypertrophy, and EXTREMELY difficult and tedious work that simply does not fall under strength training. Plain and simple.

THIS is what you can expect from a women who strength train like traceurs(traceuses) should... That meaning unisexual exercises that build strength.

Now tell me. That's about 95 pounds above her head, and she's smiling and laughing. Now at MOST she weighs 120-140.  Can you lift about 70-80% of your bodyweight above your head, squat and keep your balance like that for a picture, AND still smile/laugh? Maybe, but it's not easy is it?

I smile while lifting. I bench 95 on a regular basis. I keep up with my wrestling team when we do circuit lifts.

hey hey hey .. i am a youtube commenter and i have fairly good ideas and arguments, plus its funnier to watch people coment argue.. anyway ..

you should keep doing what you are doing. practicing parkour.  i would not mind to be showed up by a woman in parkour.  in fact i wouldnt mind if you taught me.  i think yes .. women physicaly are not stronger than men and phyiscly cant do what men do .. but thats just at first.. over time im sure you will be able to jump just as far as some other men that do parkour.  im not saying me.. b/c i am new to parkour so i dont really care if you could do what i do.  i think you should keep doing parkour.  if you love it. learn it.  if you learn it. practice it.  if you practice it you can get better.  and if you can get better you surpass your mental limits and create your own!.

I would actually find it much nicer to see more female traceurs. Continue doing what you love. That guy just has personal issues and is insecure with getting showed up by anyone else that he sees as lower than him and that he should rethink what parkour is if he has problem with girls

i agree

Dude, you haven't said anything intelligent this whole thread let alone backing up your views. Please, make a list of why girls shouldn't do parkour and list it.

i can agree to that,     we discussed things fairly,    each individual has his and her own opinion and may or may not change it, but now that it has been discussed and now the resources for everybody to come to their own conclusion is out there.
