Before and after shoes
« on: November 14, 2009, 09:57:09 AM »
I decided we need this!

Post your shoe before you started training. Then Show what it looks like now. Maby tell us how you liked the shoe.

Here I go:

Owning them for 6 months. I bought them because when I did a wallrun in the store they had very god grip. They are very breathable, and when I wear them to the ground I might buy them again.

Convexus Avia

After 6 months abuse:

If you notice the decrative little black strip on the toe is worn off.

Bottom grip on this one isn't so badly gone.

Bottom grip of my lead foot.

Padding is basicly gone.

Yes, I love my shoes.  :-*

My favorite pair of shoes! Note, this isn't a picture on my pair ( :-Sarcasm) but I thought you'd get the idea.

They've lasted me for 16 years so far and are in great shape!  ;D

The way you word things makes you seem older, but all the random makes you seem 5. :P  I guess it balances out to be 16 somehow.

Here are my vibram five finger sprints... I have trained in these for 2 years and never any other shoe and i train about once a day for 2 hours... they have taken a beating. I havent washed them in forever that's why they look so gross but they are still amazing and I have never seen a shoe with better grip or grip that can match this at all.

I always liked running barefoot but never knew they made these to protect your feet and such. But I went to summithut.com to buy these. Are the sizes in EU shoe size?

To Spencer: me too. I'm pretty much a barefooter anyway and most people get confused even more when they see me walking around barefoot and then vaulting over things. My feet have not failed me for 16 years either.

Keep on keeping on.

To Spencer: Pretty much I found that vibrams are the only thing close to the grip and comfort of barefeet. But they are 80$ so I don't have any. When I go to try new spots or moves I wear some asics that I use for situations where there may be walls made out of what feels like razor blades :/

Even though I am still new people ask me what I am doing (when in our park) and if they want to try I always reccomend they take off their shoes (very muddy where all the good obsticles are and you can slip if you have many types of running shoes). Most are really open to it but I do got the guys that just say "well I don't wanna get dirty and walk off"

I found it's a good way to filter out the punks :D
