Need help with kongs
« on: November 13, 2009, 06:27:50 AM »
I know how to do kong, and I also believe I know what i'm doing wrong. I think its because I can't get my hips up, but I dont know how to correct this. anyone have any tips?

Put up a vid or give us more advice please. But I'm guessing that the real problem is that you're not putting enough into your dive. Lots of people who can't learn their kong always think the problem is in their hips or their hand placement is wrong but 95% of the time they're just not diving enough.

Are you using the split-foot take off? Take off with one leg, kick the other leg backwards and up as you dive; that'll bring your hips up.

Also, like SD said, put more umph in your dive. That will help correct almost any problem you're having with your kongs.
Your obstacle is my shortcut.
