Possible Zoo Sesh?
« on: July 22, 2010, 06:16:21 PM »
Going to the zoo tomorrow as a family outing, and was wondering if anyone had attempted a sesh at a zoo? I mean, i wouldnt be like climbing animal cages, but just running around flowing over whatever i can find. Has anyone tried this? I know it depends on the zoo, but i was just wondering in general. I'll try it tomorrow and let you get know how it goes.
Yeah, that was me.

Just got back, heat index was over 100 degrees, and  my mom was yelling at me telling me to stop jumping over things and act my age, so i didnt get to do much. I can tell you though, at the Cincinatti Zoo and Botanical Garden, there are some amazing spots. A lot of them i couldn't use, do to my skill level, or parents, but the spots are far between but theres plenty of spots to practice prescisions, and tons of benches for vaults, and stone walls, that have steps on them that are good for balance training. Fun place.
Yeah, that was me.

If I tried that at the Philadelphia Zoo, I'm sure the security would give me a hard time as soon as they saw me and they probably should. On a nice sunny Saturday afternoon, there are tons of people and small children around. Not an ideal *training* environment. Of course if you were escaping something, you have no choice, but you do have a choice with places you train at and this doesn't sound like the best. It would be cool to jam in an empty zoo though!

as i can tell you need to sit your mom down and describe what you are doing :) but this is a good idea i never thought of going to the zoo even though ours is in our park wich gives me another idea to just go to the park. xD but there are some sweets spots in my small zoo here now that i think about it i would love to do some precisions on the rail near the otter aquarium at least i will have a audience :3

It would be sweet. I wonder how much it would cost to rent the St. Louis ZOO. ??? It's free admission you just pay to park.
I doubt they would let you though. Maybe for a photo shoot not a jam. You could ask permission and pay for the photos you use on your teams website or video or whatever.
