Heights come more or less instinctively. If you can find a small ledge (about a foot tall) overlooking some sand that would be the best place to do it (other than in gyms of course). Basically if your frontflip is good you should be untucking at the right time anyway, which slows down your spin by quite a bit. Make sure you keep getting that good block and get a REALLY good tuck, since you'll most likely be looking down when you flip, making it quite important. Honestly though once you land it a couple times it'll come to you pretty easily.

Get comfortable on the ground first, then find some ledges.

So its been a few months now since Ive started working on front tucks.  I am now very comfortable performing them but I am not always able to land in position where I can keep forward momentum.  I consistantly landing in a squating position while still not being able to keep my balance.  This seems like it would be pretty rough on my knees.  Also, I have done fronts from heights like park benches and the equivalant heights, but I have only recently started doing this and just about all of them have had over rotations and I land on my feet then I have to put my hands down to prevent a face plant.
From what I have seen through self recordings, I need to tuck harder in order to achieve the max rotational speed and release slightly earlier on flips from heights.  There will be a video posted as soon but until then, any suggestions? Like how to keep a tighter tuck or some tips on when to release my tuck. (emphasis on how to keep a tighter tuck because I think that will benifit my form the most.)

Give me a day or two for the video.  I'll probably be filming tomorrow or the next day.

From what I saw in your video man, the only thing that your missing is a tighter tuck. Dont get me wrong you were tucking pretty dam hard, but if you could bring your knees in just a little bit closer to where they were touching your chest, would help a lot. Another thing is, your starting your rotation just a hair early. If you wait just another split second to rotate, your center of gravity will be higher and it will give you more time to complete the flip and untuck. Very common mistake of trickers, one that I am still combating right now. Good luck though man :)
