What kinds of clothing is best to parkour in?
« on: October 29, 2009, 10:03:17 PM »
What are your favorite kinds of cloths to parkour in. I wear some running shoes, old shirt and usually jeans. But I think this weekend I'll go out and buy some under armour and running pants that are really loose, and a new pair of running shoes because mine are too small. do you think this is a good idea? what kinds of things should I get? Thank you

Really anything works. Just make sure you can move in it. There is no need to spend a ton of money on gear. It is merely a preference.

Note: we try to refrain from using parkour as a verb. The correct wording would be "to train parkour" or simply, "to train."

Clothes that don't restrict movement and do not easily snag on pointy things. It is however okay to use PK as a verb. As in, I'm bout to PK the hell out of that tree. Also Parkouring is not correct, we dropped the g years ago, its just Parkourin' now, its easier to say.

Best thing to practice pk in is nothing but your bare feet and a layer of sweat  :-Sarcasm

What does PKing a tree even mean? Are you going to climb it? Jump over it? Use its trunk as a pivot?
My point is don't use PK as a verb because it's very unclear.

I only train in my shorts to be honest. There is nothing like being barefoot and shirtless navigating through the environment! It's such a free feeling!

However, winter is drawing near so (unless you are crazy) you will want to have some clothes on. I would just wear any T-shirt, Hoodie, and Sweatpants. In the end, it's whatever you feel most comfortable in!

I practice in sweats or jeans.

And any shirt/hoodie will do.

I'm getting a Bruce Lee Game of Death tracksuit soon. I'll train in that.

Usually sweat pants and a t-shirt.

Barefoot or Feiyues
Sweats or something loose and free
Maybe a shirt depending on the weather, but it will likely be shed as I warm up, but that's just me.

Pretty much free and loose.

He was quite amazing. I use a lot of quotes from him and admire him a lot. Check out brucelee.com If you don't know much about him. Or check the History Channel's website for the next playing of How Bruce Lee Changed The World.

haha cool thanks guys. I just went out and bought some armor and some running pants. I think that'll help me, and thanks for telling me about that incorrect grammar usage about parkour. I won't do that again. Thanks.
