Rod's Training log
« on: October 26, 2009, 06:03:48 PM »
What's up, I have been doing parkour for about one year but I have taken a break and started doing some rock climbing to build some stregnth and I'm ready to get back to my training.

Goal Pool

100 pullups 25 reps
125 pushups 25 reps
100 squats straight
250 calf lifts straight

Improved kong vault
Improved rail precision
perfect my cat leaps
Precision at least 6 feet.

The squats are a decent goal if you want that much endurance, but the pullups, pushups, and especially calf raise goal are kind of pointless. If you really want that high of endurance and don't care about strength, then I'd say go ahead, but I don't really see the point myself. I hope you've read that stickies in the general fitness forum? If not then I would suggest looking at them right away. Good luck and good reading.

I didn't get much done between Thursday-Saturday because I was studying for mid terms so I managed to squeeze in some WODs

Thur: two rounds of 400m run, and 15 burpees
Friday: Three rounds 40 squat thrusts and 10 clapping pushups
Sat: five rounds of 15 tuck jumps and 10 pushups
Sun: Five rounds of 20 squat thrusts and 15 dive bombers

Monday: Three rounds of 40 squat thrusts, 20 back extensions, and 10 pullups. Then went down town to work on some precision work with rails and my cat leaps.

Tuesday: Bouldering for 1.5 hours and 50 pushups ( 10 reps) // 25 pullups (straight) // 30 box jumps (2 feet )

Sorry I haven't been posting at all, midterms happened and now I'm getting ready for finals.

Today: Ran 2 miles, practiced vaults, wallruns, and precisions
