10/18:

Had 3 total people today for almost 1.5 hours. It was a little chilly and the ground was all kinds of wet. As such, learning/practicing rolls was limited. Practiced some vaults with a picnic table: two-hand vaults, monkey/kong progression (hand and foot placement; working to increase distance towards the whole width of the table), dash attempts. Messed around on the playground a little.

10/24:

Had 2 people today for about 1 hour. Worked on proper form for rolls. Half of us worked on cleaning up and increasing confidence of monkey vaults over the picnic table while the other half worked on safety vaults and speed of approach. Worked on palm spins and/or palm spin progression. I have video of me working on wall spins (http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=160899554842 and http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=160895679842). Also did some broad jumps. Gonna bring precision trainers next week.

The regulars are 29 (me), a guys who's a h.s. junior, and a guy who's a college sophomore. Others who have shown interest, but haven't come yet are a h.s. senior, and another college sophomore. You'd definitely be welcome! More people always makes it better. Whenever you're around txt or leave me a voicemail. :)

Awesome! Glad to have you! Depending on the weather, and therefore the number of people in the park, it might be difficult to find us. So txt or call when you're close.

So we've had quite a few sessions since this thread was last updated. Once was in 24 degree weather. Although there was quite a while where we didn't go out due to really friggin soggy ground, feet of snow, or the birth of my daughter. Anyhoo, we had 2 new people this past Saturday. We hit a couple of spots around the park and then went over to Schumacher park for a few.

Anyway, a few of us were thinking about carpooling up to Anne Arundel Community College on 3/27 and maybe the Hebert class at Primal on the 2nd. Besides that, there's the regular Sunday meets at the park (maybe not again til after Easter?). Plus it looks like 'dune runner' has plans for OC jams. txt me if you're interested in getting involved with anything (make sure to say who you are). My phone # is in the first post of this thread.

Looks like we're heading into a pretty busy season! :)

Waiting on an update/confirmation for the AACC meet. Assuming it's happening on Saturday I'm giving a ride to 2 people and have space for 3 more. Sunday is on for training at the park at 1:00. Should have pretty good weather this weekend for once!

AACC meet was pretty cool. Besides Nick (who coordinated the jam), there were 6 of us from Salisbury who went up. We went all over the campus doing different things. Security was actually friendly too. Pretty shweet. 4 hours travel time for 3 hours jamming was a little harsh, but it was worth it.

Yesterday in the park we had 6 people total. As for next week, we're gonna meet on Saturday Monday instead of Sunday since it'll be Easter.

A bunch of us went to the Primal NoVa Grand Opening. Twas sweet. Good times had by all.

Gave SU a serious look for the first time this past Sunday. Found 12+ spots that are awesome. There are spots for vaults, wall runs of various heights, pop vaults, rails, precisions, just about anything you want. Unfortunately they're spread out all over campus so it seems like it's hard to get a good flow going.

In other news, Beast Coast is in 11 days. For those going: We leave Salisbury before lunchtime on Saturday 5/29. Plan on staying in/around DC Saturday night. Sunday we'll stay til about 4 or 5pm before heading back to Salisbury. I'm working on getting waivers which we can download, sign and send back before the weekend starts so we can participate in stuff at Primal. Bring a sleeping bag, deodorant, toothbrush/paste, and money for food and gas and a metro pass (if necessary).
