Hi all! I want to hear from you guys about our content. What do you like most about The Frerunner? What would you like to see more of? Do you have any ideas for content that we haven't thought of yet? Is there anything you think we could do without?

Are we talking about the Print version or the email version? if the Print, then it'd be best if there was a list of what you've thought of so that we can know what you haven't

Both! And just give us anything you've got - a lot of times you might phrase the same idea in a different way that gives us a totally new idea!

I was thinking of an idea, kinda like "A Day in the Life of a Traceur or Freerunner". Every time The Freerunner comes out, someone can describe one of their days that parkour/freerunning came in handy.

Perhaps the occasional poster. Just no shirtless people. I don't want to be taken for a homosexual. I have enough problems with this on youtube parkour videos.

Yea, seeing as these are quarterly (Every 3 months right?) you could do an epic panorama shot of a group of traceurs Tracing in a very epitimetic location for that season (Epitemetic, adjective form of epitemy)

Like a snowy mountain in the background of some Traceurs doin stuff in a winter wonder land, obviously for winter. And a lot of orange, brown, and yellow leaves on trees with some Traceurs doin stuff around there... I think that'd look totally B/A

Video of the Month
Traceur Spotlight (highlight a certain community member and interview them)
Traceur Tech (products that could interest traceurs e.g. shoes, clothing, vault boxes, etc.)
Catalog (APK products)
Conditioning and Nutrition (articles, tutorials, etc. kinda like beastskills)

Great ideas! I like the "Conditioning and Nutrition" idea, in particular. Maybe we can include an article with a great paleo recipe or something like that!

Perhaps every once and a while an issue specifically dedicated to certain subjects i.e. tutorials

Inspiration

Other sports magaizines to look at the set-up
To base it similarly off of the APK site
Local and/or international focuses

Also I like the idea of:

A page with 12 seperate pictures, showing someone do a movement. It makes it better to compare yourself to for form

Since we're all so far-flung, I think it'd be great to have articles from different parts of the country. Maybe a photo and written essay each issue featuring a different community.

That's exactly what i was getting at, also it would be great to see some articles about maybe building things to help you with training and maybe some articles written about indoor training in the winter/rain, etc.

Hotspot map (Not that you truly have hotspots in PK/FR since it is for everywhere... just hot training spots for before you hit the real world... well, hopefully not HIT the real world because that hurts most of the time but you know...

Like, maybe have a map of the US on a spread (2 page and all) and have dots with the lines that go to a picture and a description or something

How about a "hotspot highlight" also? One favorite training spot in the country, with pictures and descriptions and such; a different one (or three or five) each issue. Kind of goes into more detail/depth about a handful of spots than the general hotspots map and also maybe inspires people to see similar areas around their own community in a new light.

I think that because there is really no magazine in this genera, it is important to include items from across the range of the parkour, free running and tricking. For instance a snowboard mag has everything from rails on the streets to back country powder free riding and everything in-between.

It is foolish to think that they should be separated there aren't enough of us to be that choosy. It's just boils down to preference and people should be feel free to explore how they want to personally develop. The best thing about having a resource like this is to learn and be exposed to a wide range of ideas philosophy's and ways to grow. I am pretty confident that people will be able to decide for them selves whats right for them. Plus it will appeal to a wider range of people who will be drawen to be part of the greater community.

I am a realist and regardless of the validity of those who want to keep parkour "real" it is almost gaurenteed that tricking parkour and free running will inevitably merge into a hybrid because the mass of people want to see cool stunts and everything will eventually be commercialized if there is a profit in it.

The best we can do is help direct and keep the sport down to earth and keep the intellectual side strong.

interviews with non famouse "normal" traceurs

awsome photo/poster of somthing parkour/freerunning/triking related

fictional writings

news aka jams, events and information people would want to know

usual/unusual parkour/freerunning/triking moves guides

information/stories with pics and stuff

lots of photos of people tracing/freerunning/tricking

workout of the day for the whole week

conditioning/nutritionguides

recipes of the week

catologe of apk/parkour/freerunning/triking items

latest laws and legal information regarding p/f/t

competitions (not parkour competitions could be photo or other stuff)

the guy above me pretty much summed it up..

But i will add to his list

i guess you could add... a little bit of artwork
Pictures of spots and a story about it
If you've ever looked at a skate magazine, when they have a pic of a guy doing a trick, theres about 20 pictures of the guy showing the entire movement
Rising traceur or traceur of the month/year... or any exceptional traceur
I guess you could throw in Some info about Local groups... For example Frederick Parkour and Freerunning

Because people like the philosophy, throw in some inspiration and overcoming fear quotes
Info on exceptional products- hangboards, safety mats, etc.
Possibly shed some light on the Organic food subject??? and how much it benefits you??
Definetly a section of what not to do, safety and all that jazz
I guess you could throw in a beginners' section
