Hey APK Illinois Forum,
So, I'm writing this post with a little bit of trepidation. Partially because I'm new to parkour, but also because this is the opening of a new chapter in my life. As most of you know, I'm an attorney. I work approximately 70 hours a week, I go to court all over the state of Illinois and I can get my friends out of most traffic tickets. I also hate it. (well, except for that last part.

). In the past six months I've been lucky enough to discover parkour and learn some of it. As I'm sure you guys understand, it has changed my life. I see things differently than I ever had before. Parkour makes the impossible seem possible. After jamming with JefeD and Native a couple of times, we began talking about opening up a fitness gym based on parkour. I had an idea of calling it ZombieFit. I mean, what better way to prepare for the zombie apocalypse than with parkour and weight training? In fact, we went out and bought some internet urls and started a website. Its in the very beginning stages and it is still a work in progress. Any tips or suggestions for the site are appreciated (hit me up on pm). You can reach the site at
here. It also contains a little bit more about our philosophy as well, so I encourage to read it.
As you can see on the website, we have a series of goals. We're going to do everything we can to satisfy them. Our methodology for this is simple. We're going to start the business (currently in the midst of incorporating), hopefully become an APK affiliate, and then start advertising. ZombieFit will start small, and it may take time, but once there are enough persons interested in working out, we will be applying for a business loan to open up an actual gym. The basic premise of the business will be fitness. But, it will be fitness for the traceur (or those who wish to be a traceur). I've seen the changes in my strength and body composition since I started doing PK, and I believe it is a solid business model in which to hopefully create a gym that can benefit novice and experienced traceurs, not to mention increase an average person's fitness capacity.
So yeah, before this gets to tl;dr proportions, I'm going to stop. If anyone has any questions, comments, concerns, death threats, feel free to contact me, pm me, or just post in this thread.
