picture yourself running (not that we all dont anyways, lol)

but instead, youre parallel with a waist high fence (you have about four or five inches to place your hands/feet on the top of it)

you want to be on the other side

how do you not lose momentum?

If you want to continue parallel, Lazy that beast, if you want to go perpendicular, Theif (Also called the Lazy-Pivot-Dash, basically, a Lazy where you turn half way and come out facing Perpendicular)

That's how I'd do it anyways...  But then again, this is an obstacle that you must overcome, use what you know and what you are learned to asses the situation and decide the best method to clear it.  If you drill the moves enough and understand the use and practical reasons for each then it should basically be instinctual to choose the best one for the job

That, AND, Parkour is very personal so what might work for me could be detrimental to you and vice-versa...  so yea, just try it and see what works

im talking RUNNING though
like a sprint

not just jogging or walking or else i could see a lazy
but if im running really fast i feel like if i touch it going parallel to it im just going to fall

legs going in front of me would probably be hte most practical way of going about doing it, but i still think falling will prolly happen

(i forgot to mention said fence is wooden, and unfinished wood, so i hafta take splinters into consideration too)

(this is just for training purposes, im not planning an escape route or anything)

Yea, I'd say go with a kong but stagger your hands so that you can push your body over the obstacle.

If you are running with the wall on your right, you'd grab with your right hand first, jump up, push the fence under you, pass off to your left hand, and land, all while facing parallel to the wall.

Definitely travel kong.  I might try to just scissor kick it if it was short enough but not anything like a lazy that would leave you leaning back.  Also, I know that it's pointless to argue about names but Team Avian, that is not a thief.  You can enter or exit a thief or lazy in any angle.  They are also interchangeable.  The only difference is that for a lazy, you swing your inside leg over, or the one closest to the wall, whereas on a thief, you swing your OUTSIDE leg over, push off with the inside leg, and then fold up the inside leg as you clear the wall.  You may say I am wring, but this is what everyone says, and I studied footage of Stephane for probably like an hour when I was working on it.  It doesn't feel natural at first but once you get it down it feels very natural.

THIS is a thief:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUvDWwZwIvg&feature=related

Sorry for the off topic.

Yeah. I realized there is a Theif tutorial on youtube that has taught 25k people the wrong technique.  Oh dear.  That might have something to do with the confusion.

I love Stephane.  Ever since U$F 3.  He just seems like such an amazing, humble guy.  He is so skilled and he learned from the original people, so yeah.

Look him up team Avian.

WHOA! What happened, dude, my evil twin must have posted under my name in attempts to embarrass me... good thing I caught him

<.<   >.>

Well, that isn't the first fail to epic proportions that I've had...  lets just not bring up the first thing I got scared about when I came to APK...  And at least I can justify this one...
