Whats up Ryokun? San Diego has a pretty big community that's growing every day. If you havnt already, check out PKCali.com to find info on sessions all around San Diego county. (SDParkour will be up and running again in a few months)

I actually live in Chula Vista but I've been leading the Balboa Sessions for several years. If you want to get more people to join you, start a thread on PKCali. There's a lot more poeple in the area who check those forums. Everything is open to anyone... we dont really have any teams because really there is no point unless you want to exclude other people but if you want to dress up in matching colors go for it, lol.

I work Mon-Fri in downtown until 6:00 and then I coach PK at a gym Thurs and Fri nights. Otherwise I would stop by this week. If you guys setup a weekend session post it on PKCali and I'll do my best to make it out!

Cool man! You guys definitely should check out the balboa session sometime. I think this weekend we're going to be at SDSU though but I'll post it in the thread when I know for sure.

Thats a pretty short visit... lol. I dont think there's anything scheduled for Monday but if you post on PKCali.com you could probably find some people who'd want to meet up with you. How long have you been training? I have work all day and then coach that evening otherwise I would be down. I can at least point you towards some good spots.

Wow this sucks... the closest town to me is San Diego, and it's 2 hours away. I live in a small town called imperial about 130 miles east of SD. There is hardly anywhere to train here, as nobody seems to be interested and the few buildings are rather far apart. Any suggestions?

Hey man, welcome to APK! There may not be anything going on around you YET but dont get discouraged... Parkour is spreading like wild fire and you've got a head start on everyone in your town.

Find a public park, a set of rails for a handicap ramp or someplace in the wilderness with rocks and trees to meet up at on a regular basis. I know in the beginning everyone wants to find a rooftop to climb but in reality you can do parkour in any environment and going up on roofs is generally discouraged as it's mostly pointless and draws unwanted attention and fear of liability.

If you havnt already, start reading everything you can about the philosophy of Parkour, how why we train, important warm ups and bodyweight exercises, etc. There is a whole world of information open to you through the internet right now. Make use of it by starting your own training sessions and making a thread for it so people can find you and meet up to learn and share info. If you post a thread in the Sessions forum on Parkour California we can add it to our directory listing on the front page. Good luck!

I'm going to San Diego on Friday and not leaving until around the next Thursday. So I was wondering if anyone wanted to do a mini-jam/training session. I'm also returning to San Diego a week and a half... or two... after this trip for Comic-con with Clinton so another chance to hang. I've been in a lot of pain since a fall I took and I'm looking forward to train fully since then and meet new people.

San Diego has a pretty active community that trains on the weekends. If you want to get in touch with the guys down there it's best to take a look over on the PKCali.com forums, that's where most of them hang out. Oh man... I should go down for comic-con.

My parents lied to me. We're thirty miles out of San Diego in Oceanside and they won't let me out by myself for parkour. So I'm stuck doing whatever they want. But I'll be back later in the month actually in San Diego next time.

I'm going to be in San Diego for Comic-Con next week. Was wondering if anyone would like to train on Wednesday the 21.

My plane is supposed to land at 3 so I could probably be ready by 5. If anyone is interested and knows of any spots close to the convention hall that would be great.

Hope to see some people out there.
