Yeah. I was surprised to see how many organic farms would put you up for 3-5 hours of hard work/ day.

I live on UH campus and can take 1 person in a sleeping bag on the floor of my dorm room (carpeted, but bring an air-mattress if you want). I'll have classes on thursday, friday and monday, but you'll have plenty to do. I also do not have a car, but the bus is only 2.25 per ride, and the places that are inaccessible by bus are about a half-hour walk from the nearest bus station at max. It's not that bad. I have a roommate, and he's cool with it. Send me an email at nchspit107@yahoo.com if you want to stay with me and introduce yourself so we're not total strangers when you get here. See you all in January!

Okay, I'm planning to buy my plane ticket in the next week, so I need to make sure about a few things...

1) Ozzi or anyone else, is there still room for me to crash at your place, or do I need to look up a hotel/campsite?
2) I should get a ticket to Honolulu Intl. Airport, correct?
3) I'm planning to come in on the 20th and leave late on the 25th. Is someone going to be able to pick me up at the airport or should I get a cab?
4) Is there anything else I should be aware of?

Hi, Gabe! I can only help on one question:

2) Right. HNL = Honolulu International Airport. If your ticket says CDG you're on your way to Paris.

Now to be unhelpful since I live on a little island 100 miles away from Oahu.
1) It's rainy season. Camping could be a very wet, dirty experience. Pray someone still has room.
3) If no one can pick you up, Honolulu has a good bus system, depending where you want to go.
4) Yes.

Gregg answered the rest of the questions, as for being aware of anything, well, like Gregg said, it is rainy season. So be ready for mud, humidity. But do also bring sun block and some snorkels.

Okay, I bought my plane ticket and I'm officially coming to the jam. I'll be coming into Honolulu Intl. around 3:30pm on Jan. 20th.
I'll have to leave a little early at 6pm on the 24th. College classes and all that.

So now the only question is a place to stay. Does anyone besides Ozzi still have room for me to crash, or should I start looking into a hostel?
