Gotta love Ft. Minor.
Blue Scholars
Franti
Mike Doughty
Pixies
The Mountain Goats are nice for nighttime runs.

I mainly listen to music while conditioning or running before parkour, I don't have the knack for listening to music while training techniques.. kinda distracts me. Those darn earbuds always fall out at the wrong times!

No recent posts...bummer.
I came across a cool Nike commerical titled "The Getaway". You see a traceuse running in an urban sitting and all you hear is sirens, some gun shots and police scanners reporting details about the suspect. At the end you see that that was what she was hearing on her ipod, "Bank Robbery". Her playlist wasn't music but sounds that would usually occur say during the Running of the Bulls, Boot Camp: Parris Island, Avalanche, Chainsaw Murderer Chase, etc.
Music is great to train with but event ambiance noise is just as good.
I'm motivated to train when I hear cops coming after me; anyone would be.

I personally like instrumental while running. Stuff like:

Glitch Mob
Celldweller
JSR/JSRF soundtrack (the video game i fell in love with as a kid)
Pretty lights
Porcelain and the tramps
Raise Against the Machine
Bullet Proof Messenger
Rabitt Junk

As well as some song vs song mixes and DJs on youtube.
ME:  "I'm a graphic artist."
HIM: "whats that? What do you do?"
ME:   "well actually it can be pretty hard, i have to  code and..." (getting all technical with my words on what i do."
HIM:  "blank Stare"
ME: "I make pretty pictures..."

Was just looking through some of this and was thinking there's some good music in here...

Then I realized I don't listen to music while training. Never have. Haha, I'm kind of curious to try it.

I feel kind of lost without music, it kind of helps me maintain a beat/flow/rhythm while i run, or when i ride my bike, if i have certain music on, i pedal to the rhythm, Kind of helps me focus and keep going and clear my head. But i also know some people were music throws them off... so maybe when you try it dont do anything big at first  :P

I usually listen to music while conditioning, and on the off occasion when I train movements.
