Yea, I think we've settled it. Then the thread went downhill...

Hey guys. ok i was inspired by another videogame. Mirror's Edge. SOMEWHERE on youtube, i saw a cut-scene. the "runner" is a girl named Faith. Anyway, there's this scene were she descends from very high, between 2 walls. what she does is "kick" each wall so that she creates momentum to allow her to "slide" on a perfectly vertical wall.

OK I DIDNT SAY THATS POSSIBLE, but there's the solution. like in a wallrun, u need to momentum to create friction on the wall; that's the only thing keeping ur foot planted. So, ONLY if u r dropping from between 2 walls facing each other, u can try sliding down. it would look more like jumping down from side to side.

Has anyone seen what im talking about??

and for the sake of "when do u use that?", use it if u're climbing UP 2 walls, then if u fall, u can try it. You have to be the best traceur ever or something.

Story Time!

I slide down my shed roof when I drop down. Probably a 20-30 degree angle and then just push off with my feet, 180 mid-air, land, roll...

In relation to this thread... You probably could slide down a wall but your momentum would fade so quickly that you would have to push off or fall...

Like Hazim said, if there were two walls close to each other than it would probably work...
Have you forgotten about the days when we just wanted to rock cause we like it that way?

I've actually done something similar to this.  I did a cat leap and kept doing 180 cats between the two walls (About 10-12 feet up).  At one point though, I just didn't push off nearly enough and started descending quickly.  As I made contact with the opposing wall, I basically drop kicked it and sent myself up and backwards a little bit, slowing myself down.  At that point I was already half way down the wall, so the impact was lessened when I landed.  So, ticking off the wall will help with short drops, but sliding down a three story buildling doesn't seem like a good idea.
