well there would be nothing keeping you against the wall. if it helped you it might be minimal. there was a thread like this about doing a tic tac while dropping. that seemed like a better bet for me.
You have already made the decision, you will just spend the rest of your life figuring out why.

You're sliding though... SO either you would get some terrible brick rash, or you would stop and fall.

Ya, but if you NEEDED to slide I think brick rash would be worth it to not die...

Brick rash... I don't know... I envision flesh scaying (Just made that word up BTW! Combination of scrape and flay! [And it sounds better without an r in it.{IMO|Of course|}] :D) all the way down to the bone... *shudders*

I don't think it would be worth it.

There is no force pushing you into the wall.

Physics says you are wrong.

There is no joystick in real life...

They were all angled. And Jackie Chan slid down with support from three walls.

what you are describing is physically impossible unless the wall is slanted...and has a significant gradient.  The amount of friction necessary to keep you at a reasonable speed is impossible to generate otherwise...thats just physics.

this thread is dumb?

a pseudo-possibility argued against an impossible semantic, everyone loses.

okay this morning i tried it off of the first story part of my school, which is about 15feet...it was still Dewey outside so i slid a little but it did slow me down enough to not have to roll...only problem with this is the shoes and trying to get the right distance away from the wall...the shoes are kinda thrashed now, and if you get to far away from the wall its useless and if you are to close you want to hold your hands against the wall which is a really bad idea..but it your just touch the wall as you slide down to help stabilize your self it really helps

NOTE: you should always roll out of a drop to not put to much pressure on your back and legs, i did not roll to see if it actually slowed me down enough to help
