Fall Jams
« on: August 26, 2009, 12:11:43 PM »
Perhaps in the attempt to not have separate threads for every time we get together I'm going to start this in the hope that whenever someone wants to run they will post here.  If it doesn't work, oh well.

I'll start.

I would like to run with some of you fine fellows.  There's been a couple of new people on lately, and I'd love to train with them.  In addition, many are taking off to parts unknown (like back to college) and so I'd like to get one last good run in with them.  I was thinking maybe this weekend, maybe sunday (30th?).  Let me know what you think.

Oh, and Chad, I finally checked out your lightsaber fight video.  I was very impressed by the film angles, the visual editing, and the choreography.  It was some of the best work I've seen in a long time.  Nice.

What time Sunday? I unfortunately probably won't be able to make it if it's before 4, just wondering cuz I REALLY want to jam with some of you experienced traceurs some time.

A couple of us were already planning on going to the organ on Sunday, probably around 2 or 3pm or maybe later if need be

I also want to go back to Eau Claire to train at my old training grounds on a Sunday in September.  I'm thinking about going either the 20th or 27th if anyone wants to come with.  Just let me know which one would work better for you.

When we schedule these jams, someone should be designated "leader", so then people can call that person and figure out where everyone is. I've gone to about 5 jams, but I only met people at the first one.

How about a jam in Ely, in the wasteland of nothingness?  J/K  I suppose I'll have to train by myself for awhile (I think the Duluth jam was my jam fix until next year).

Have fun and train safe,

May I ask where?

My sundays are usually empty, so there's a high chance I'll be able to show up if it's within range.

I'm back from my vacation and ready to get to training again.  I'm thinking Sunday at 5pm meeting at Coffman Union will be a good start.  Who else wants to come

Shouldn't stuff about Eau Claire be in the Wisconsin forum?

Yeah, it probably should...but I lived and trained in wisconsin (around Eau Claire) for 4 years before moving to minnesota and almost all of the wisconsin forums is based in Madison, which is 4 hours from Eau Claire.  So we always just came up to the Minnesota training areas since the cities is only about an hour from eau claire.  So now that I'm living in the cities, I'm looking to bring some of the regulars up here to some of my old training grounds.

All the more reason for me to try to be there...

I've been looking for an excuse to go train somewhere relatively unknown, see how well I adapt and all.

I'm booked up for the next 2 sundays(actually next 2 weeks), but just throwing this out there. Would anyone like to train in down town St. Paul? I drove through there the other day and it has some great spots.
