Fear of starting.
« on: August 16, 2009, 09:16:03 PM »
I have a major fear of starting to trick.
I'm going to a gym next Saturday and I'll definitely practice there but I'll be going to the beach Labor Day weekend and I will be seeing my family I haven't seen in forever. I was overweight and could barely even do a two handed vault last time I saw all of them. Now I have a majority parkour movements down and want to start to trick. I want to train at the beach cause the beach there has amazingly soft, cool, sand. 3 weeks to get over a fear and be able to get flips down. Oh and another reason is that I made a promise to my Aunt who was a gymnast that I'd get flips down before my birthday. My birthday is a week after the trip. Any suggestions to get going on this?

grow a pair and go for it at the gym. lmao sorry bout that its just true. the only thing stopping you is in your head. if practice parkour regularly then you should definitely be in good enough shape to be able to trick.

This is definitely the best tutorial I've ever seen! Grab a friend, and GO FOR IT! That's all I can say.

Thanks guys, I already started to do the exercises, etc. I followed multiple tutorials to get over the fear of pivoting over my head.
